Ford condemns those responsible for Derry bomb attacks
Justice Minister David Ford has condemned those responsible for tonight's explosions in Derry.

The rationale for these attacks has to be challenged. Those responsible must know that violence does not bring them any closer to their stated objective.

He said: "Thankfully there are no reports of any injuries but those who planted and exploded the bombs in Derry could easily have killed. Their actions are to be comdemned.
"The rationale for these attacks has to be challenged. Those responsible must know that violence does not bring them any closer to their stated objective.
"If anything, the condemnation from across the political spectrum which follows such incidents, reinforces the futility of their actions.
"These are the desperate actions of yesterday's men. They seem to be more wedded to the struggle than to the cause they claim to be pursuing."
