Prison Population
- The delay in publication of the 'Northern Ireland Prison Population in 2011' report is due to problems in the way data is stored within the Prison record information management system (Prism). This resulted in large sections of prison data being unavailable for analysis and inclusion in the report. As a result, it was considered necessary to delay publication of the report until all data availability issues have been resolved. It had been hoped that this may have been completed in time for publication by end of September 2012. However, outstanding issues still remain although it is hoped that these will be resolved in time for publication of the report by the end of October 2012.
